 Have a professionally designed quiz sent straight to your email at the start of every school week for the whole year. The quiz can be used by as many staff in your school as you like.the quiz helps students to keep up-to-date with current events and general knowledge in a safe way. It contains visual material and will lead to many class discussions about Society and Environment. Some schools use the quiz for research starters, team challenges,homework or as a competition.

Each week the quiz consists of twenty current events questions from Australia and around the world. It includes visual questions, straight-forward answers and a little background information for each question our Weekly Quiz service has been running for over a decade and is popular in thousands of schools across Australia.The World Affairs Council created the “What in the World?” Weekly Quiz to inspire interest in current affairs for our members and guests, and especially for students.weekly quiz

The quiz content supports the Australian Curriculum through Geography, History, General Capabilities and Cross-Curriculum priorities. It can be be handed out to students, displayed using a projector or completed in an interactive online format.Every Monday morning the quiz is posted on the Web site, on Facebook and distributed by email (to TNWAC newsletter subscribers). Weekly quiz winners from the previous week are named in the newsletter. At the end of the month a prize is given to one of the winners of the quizzes for the month.

The quiz also serves as a resource for students and teacher-coaches participating in Academic WorldQuest and other educational endeavors. It provides a tool to keep students engaged in global affairs awareness and serves as a guide and source for the AWQ competition current event topic area.
